Established in 1993, the RFMF has provided financial support for various organizations including;

• The Cancer Research and Treatment Fund (CT&T)
• The Teach Our Children Foundation
• The Yogi Berra Museum 
• Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence
• TJ Martell Foundation
• College Scholarships

In May of 2009, the Ray Festa Melanoma Foundation was able to conduct its first community outreach program with a free skin cancer and melanoma prevention and detection event. The event took place at Montclair High School in New Jersey. Of the individuals who were screened, 33% were referred to their own doctors for further evaluation of potential cancerous or pre-cancerous lesions. This inaugural event, developed a framework that will be used to conduct Free Skin Cancer Screening and educational programs throughout the NY/NJ Metropolitan area and beyond.

Additionally, the RFMF is supporting the volunteer efforts of young people by funding youth RFMF organizations established within their High School communities. Montclair High school students formed the original chapter that will be used as a model to develop additional organizations. The RFMF, along with members from the MHS Chapter, created an official charter and bylaws that will be used to develop all new Chapters. The work of these young people is critical to our success. In addition to participating in the marketing and operations of the Free Skin Cancer Screening, the group will create educational promotions and host fundraisers targeted to their peers.

Since June 1993, The RFMF has and will continue the financial support of Montclair HS students in furthering their education by providing annual academic scholarships. We are proud to report that we have assisted students who have attended major universities and colleges and have gone on to become successful adults. Past Scholarship Recipients

RFMF will continue to establish relationships with corporate, community and healthcare organizations that are aligned with the mission of the RFMF. These relationships will serve as the foundation for resource and revenue generation to support RFMF activities.
